General Training Centers for All Ages across the country
And from September on, drone control centers in Jonava, Taurage, and Kedainiai are also set to come online, followed by another six facilities opening up across other regions up to 2028.

LINEŠA will offer interactive lessons on how to make simple drones in the classroom for 3rd-12th-grade students to teach them to design 3D printed details. LINEŠA will organize training for adults with the help of the Lithuanian Riflemen.

Strengthening Security Amid Rising Threats
The drive in Lithuania comes against a backdrop of drones becoming an integral part of modern warfare, the most recent example being the 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

The country has also expanded its aerial surveillance and counter-drone capabilities, asking NATO last week to send in air defenses. An incident after two military drones crossed into Lithuanian airspace from Belarus led to the unilateral triggering of emergency procedures.
