A Polish court has found a man guilty of conspiring to cooperate with Russia and supply sensitive material that might have been used for an attempted assassination of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. These events raise serious concerns regarding the safety of people in the Western region of Ukraine due to the ongoing war there.
About 30 – 40 coal miners employed at the "Silesia" coal mine in southern Poland have decided to hold an underground protest as they do not want to exit the mine prior to Christmas. The protests are a result of the job cuts, but also because the miners do not qualify for any of the new protections granted under the Polish Mining Act, which was signed into law last week, and therefore have no legal recourse for their grievances.

The items being auctioned included artefacts from occupied Poland, which drew condemnation from cultural institutions, Jewish groups, and government officials.
Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) announced that it successfully thwarted several allegedly Russian Federal Security Service (FSB)-planned terrorist actions in Kyiv. It was specified that the targets of these plots were metro stations, shopping centres, and other popular public places in the capital.
Farmers in Poland have launched a month-long protest, which will conclude with a large demonstration in Brussels. The protests began to challenge higher production costs, low prices for purchases, and increasing competition from importing countries beyond the EU.
Officers of the Polish Border Guard have intercepted a drone carrying approximately 400 packets of smuggled cigarettes believed to have originated from Belarus. The drone was discovered in a wooded area located in the vicinity of Krynki in the province of Podlaskie, which is close to the border with Belarus. Officials stated that the operation commenced after a nearby resident notified the authorities, leading to police and fire services attending to the scene and securing it.
The Border Guard reported that all of the cigarette packets had Belarusian excise stamps. "Inside the drone, Border Guard officers found about 400 packs of cigarettes. Further actions in this case are being undertaken by the Border Guard," officials said.
