Officers of the Polish Border Guard have intercepted a drone carrying approximately 400 packets of smuggled cigarettes believed to have originated from Belarus. The drone was discovered in a wooded area located in the vicinity of Krynki in the province of Podlaskie, which is close to the border with Belarus. Officials stated that the operation commenced after a nearby resident notified the authorities, leading to police and fire services attending to the scene and securing it. The Border Guard reported that all of the cigarette packets had Belarusian excise stamps. "Inside the drone, Border Guard officers found about 400 packs of cigarettes. Further actions in this case are being undertaken by the Border Guard," officials said.
