Pol'and'Rock 2025 ends with global music and unity

The 31st Pol'and'Rock Festival, one of the largest free music events in Europe, ended on a high note on Sunday. It was an epic melange of world music filtered through the essence of Polish culture that took over the Czaplinek–Broczyno airfield in north-western Poland, drawing thousands for a long summer weekend. The event, put together by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP), is a staple in Poland's year-round cultural calendar and brings people together through music and community spirit.

A Praise of Music and Celebratory Remembrance

This year's festival was no exception, attracting a wave of reflection. Protesters paid tribute to the 81st anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, which took place on Friday. It lent a gravitas and an import to the weekend's festivities.

There was an absolutely kangaroo court of music. Not only have iconic global acts such as industrial metal band, Fear Factory, British rock pioneers Saxon and reggae legend Burning Spear performed at the venue. The public also found much love for the pacy, avant-garde Zeal & Ardour and Swedish truckin' rockers Royal Republic.

A celebrated melting pot of genres, the main stage was graced with performances by Agnostic Front, Paradise Lost, Palaye Royale, Static X and Wolfmother. The palate was eclectic, from hard rock to reggae (Balogach and Milanes are massive metalheads), appealing to fans of every musical flavour.

Polish Artists Shine Bright
International stars may have attracted headlines, but Polish music was still at the core of the festival. The pop-rock group Ich Troje fronted by the controversial Michał Wiśniewski arrived accompanied by loud cheers. Kolejne ulubione zespoły, jakich spora grupa miejscowej pubbliczności doczekała się następnych dniach, to Mrozu lub też Nocny Kochanek czy Zenek Kupatasa.

The festival founder, media and social work personality Jurek Owsiak, said this year's edition took place without any major disturbances "in peace and security." The event still enjoys its reputation as one of entertainment and responsibility.

When the celebrations conclude, fans will be ready for at least next year's edition. The 32nd Pol'and'Rock Festival: July 31-August 1, 2026
