Threatening Post Found in Firearms Group
The case came to light after investigators spotted an online post calling for the "elimination" of several individuals, along with a suggestion to organize an assassination attempt targeting top Polish politicians. According to the bureau, the alarming message was shared within an online group focused on firearms. Authorities have not revealed which specific politicians were allegedly named as targets, keeping that detail under wraps for now.

Prosecutors have laid out a serious set of charges against the man. According to the official statement, he has been charged with taking steps toward creating conditions for an act aimed at committing genocide, along with preparing for crimes against peace, humanity, and war crimes. He also faces a charge of publicly inciting others to commit a crime. Beyond that, prosecutors have not shared additional information about the specific nature of the alleged offenses.

The suspect, who lives in Poland's eastern Lublin region, was brought before a court, which ordered him held for 30 days as the investigation continues. Given the severity of the charges, he could be looking at a two-decade prison sentence if the case results in a conviction.
