The Polish government is pondering dispatching an additional and final rescue air bridge between Israel and Poland, as several dozen Polish citizens are still in the war-torn country and have asked for help. That comes after two successful evacuations by Poland earlier this week.

On Thursday, a military aircraft brought 65 Polish citizens from Amman, Jordan, to Warsaw. A chartered flight a day earlier ferried 154 — mostly Poles, but also some non-Poles — from the Egyptian resort of Sharm El Sheikh after they were bused from Israel.
Response Efforts to the Crisis Being Done as Evacuation Continues
Poland's Foreign Ministry has confirmed it is assessing the logistics and security environment necessary for a third evacuation flight. The announcement is expected after a board of directors meeting to be held on Friday morning to discuss contingency plans. A Polish foreign ministry official, Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, said the consular team in Israel was still taking calls from Polish citizens who want to be repatriated. "We are adjusting our logistical capability relative to the changing security situation," she said.
The evacuation on Thursday was hampered by an air raid alert in Tel Aviv and delays at the Jordanian border. However, all the passengers were able to safely make it to Warsaw.
Tensions Escalate Poles Evacuated from Iran
In parallel to the missions in Israel, the country has 13 Poles evacuated from Iran. Most of them, non-essential diplomatic personnel from the Polish embassy in Tehran, left via Azerbaijan and arrived in Warsaw on a regular flight on Thursday.
The evacuations come as the confrontation between Israel and Iran becomes more severe, in its second week now. The hostilities erupted after Israeli attacks bombed at military and nuclear targets of Tehran. More than 600 Iranians and at least 24 Israelis have died, according to reports. As the situation has deteriorated, countries around the world — anyway Poland, the Czech Republic and Lithuania — have made efforts to extract their citizens from the region.
