Poland Ranks 5th in the World for Scenic Beauty

Poland is fifth in the world scenic rankings of sexiest countries, according to the results of a survey carried out on 6,635 tourists from different countries. The survey, by Riga-based car rental platform, asked holidaymakers to score countries they’d visited on their loveliness, giving each a mark out of ten. Poland started with an amazing average of 9.19.

Ireland was ranked the best, with New Zealand coming in second. Portugal and the United Kingdom joint third and Croatia and Greece joint fourth. Poland in fifth position is representative of an increasingly global recognition of the country's natural scenery and outdoor experiences.

Poland’s Nature Praised From Around the World
“Poland has a diverse collection of national parks and natural sights for outdoor lovers,” according to the platform. Not least among the highlights is a mountainous national park in the country’s southern highlands near its Slovak border.

Famed for its jagged alpine terrain, crystalline lakes, and numerous hiking trails, the region draws both the outdoorsy and the adrenaline junkie all year round.

Special mention is also made of the BiaÅ‚owieża Forest on the Polish-Belarusian border. One of the last vestiges of Europe’s primeval forest and a UNESCO World Heritage site, the forest is a haven for biodiversity, housing the elusive European bison.

Rising Interest in Genuine Outdoor Travel
The ranking aligns with a larger post-pandemic trend of travelers looking for authentic, scenic experiences outside of big cities. Poland’s inclusion on this international list, which is usually topped by countries with heavy tourism, reflects the change of tastes in travel toward less-frequented and ecologically rich locations.

Travellers are more and more finding attractions in continual, tranquil peace, wide-open space and the opportunity for direct connection with nature – all things which Poland is proving quite capable of providing.
