Poland posted first-quarter tourism figures last year that soared by 12.9 percent as more than 8 million tourists came to the country in the first three months of 2025. Overnights, meanwhile, grew 9.6% to 19.1 million in the three months to the end of March, official figures revealed.

Arrivals, 6,4 million were domestic tourists and increased by 13,9 percent over the same period in 2010. International visits increased 9 percent to 1.5 million in all. Europeans made up 83.3 percent of all foreign guests, or 1.3 million travelers, 5.3 percent more than in early 2024.
Most Foreigners Coming From Visas Issued to Germans, Ukrainians, British Citizens
In foreign tourism, Germany led with 312,600 visitors, followed by Ukraine (194,500) and the United Kingdom (171,500). Together, they accounted for 44% of all foreign overnight stays in Poland in the first quarter.
Hotels were still the preferred accommodation type and welcomed 5.7 million guests. Hotels were chosen by roughly 70 percent of domestic travelers and roughly 80 percent of international travelers.
Southern Regions Attract Most Visitors
MaÅ‚opolskie, the province where Krakow is, accounted for the most overnight stays of any of Poland’s 16 provinces – 3.7 million, or 19.2% of the total in the country. The smallest number of stays was recorded in Opolskie (139,600 stays, 0.7% of the total).
Tourist arrivals were up in all the provinces relative to early 2024. Åódzkie was also ahead with the most significant leap - 21%, and Lubuskie recorded the smallest growth - 4.6%.
