Al-Nassr Fail to Qualify for Asian Champions League
Going into the last day of the Saudi season, Al-Nassr still had a chance of making the Asian Champions League. To do so, they were required to win at Al-Fateh and have Al-Hilal lose.
Ronaldo and his squad were up, 2-1, until the 81st minute, but it all changed in the final minutes. Al-Fateh came storming back late, with Matheus Machado delivering a crushing blow in the 96th minute with the game-winning goal to send Al-Nassr home with a heartbreaking 3-2 loss.

While Ronaldo won the goal-scoring title, the season did not finish the way that he would have wanted. His contract is due to expire in June, domestically this could be his final appearance for the Saudi club.
Ronaldo posted a few short, cryptic words after the loss: “This is just another chapter.” The post has lead to questions on whether a deal could happen in the summer transfer window. However, the iconic forward doesn’t look set to call it a day just yet despite reaching the age of 40.
