Ryanair Priority Flyers Still Face Costly Baggage Fees

Passengers of Ryanair flying are raising concerns after realising that they have to pay for extra hand luggage despite having a priority boarding ticket. Plenty of people thought that forking out for a priority status would amount to more than just priority boarding, but some ended up spending more on BAGS than they did for the flight.

Additional Fees not withstanding Priority Status
A number of Ryanair passengers have spoken of being charged high fees for exceeding their baggage limits, despite buying priority tickets. In one instance a flier discovered that the fee for a small rolling suitcase was more expensive than the cost of the plane ticket itself. This added expense surprised a lot of guests, some who had assumed the priority boarding came with extra luggage.

Confused and Irritated Consumers
The airline has been a cause of confusion too since their baggage policy means that it’s not clear exactly what is included with priority boarding. However, even with this upgrade, one small cabin bag and one larger bag (like a piece of wheeled luggage) are still subject to excess weight or size fees at the gate. Travelers are urged to read and understand baggage guidelines before leaving for the airport to avoid unexpected charges.

The situation has while underscored poor communication from the airline about exactly what is included in priority tickets.
