Biedronka shoppers have been urgently warned about a batch of frozen strawberries that have been infected with Salmonella. The recalled product is the Mroźna Kraina brand burritos, which comes in 450 g sized packages. The affected batch is coded 011/04/25 with a minimum shelf life of 03.2027.

Sample From Frozen Product Testing Positive for Salmonella
Biedronka said it decided to withdraw the product after official food control tests revealed the presence of Salmonella bacteria in one of the five tested samples taken from the specified batch. The product was produced by Handsman Food Sp. z o. o., who stressed that this is a measure taken to garantee consumer safety and to uphold the highest quality standards of goods.
Customers Should Return or Destroy the Product
Biedronka is calling on all people who have purchased the batch in question to either destroy the product or else return it to the closest store. Consumers who have the product with the expiration date can return it, provided the original packaging is available, for a full refund. Consumption of the product could cause food poisoning. The company has issued an apology for any inconvenience caused and reiterated that consumer safety continues to be top priority.
