Ukrainian Member of Parliament Kira Rudik has strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump's openness to allowing Russia to help mediate conflicts in the Middle East. Rudik expressed disbelief at the idea, highlighting the Kremlin's known interest in fostering instability across the region.

Speaking in response to the proposal for Russian involvement in mediating between Israel and Iran, Rudik called it "unbelievable" that Moscow would be considered a neutral or constructive partner in such a role. She emphasized that any peace process must prioritize long-term stability for all parties involved.
Russia Seen as Destabilizing Force
Rudik warned that although countries like Israel, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Oman might perceive some short-term advantages, only long-term peace would ensure regional security. In her view, Russia remains the only nation that stands to benefit from continued instability in the region.
"The only country benefiting from the instability is Russia," Rudik said, underscoring her position that involving Moscow in peace talks could jeopardize lasting diplomatic solutions.
