For over a decade, Poland has been a reliable springboard for tech businesses out of Europe and the U.S. A good supply of IT professionals with well-trained skilled professionals in the field of programming, data engineering and system architecture. Not only do they provide expertise, but they also offer a decent mix of cost and service quality.

Today, the industry is changing in Poland. Now it’s not just about doing tasks handed to you by others. Polish companies are starting their own founders, and they are starting to make product visions and lead them through implementation. Polish IT leaders are now also playing leadership roles and impacting global tech markets.

Strong Investments But Needs To Unlock Potential
Major international concerns, such as Microsoft and Google have confidence in Poland and invest in this country. For this purpose, large centers of competence have been established, employing approximately 200,000 people in the basin of the Vistula River.

This puts Poland in a far more advantageous position than its regional neighbors like the Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary in terms of big tech presence.

But even in the context of these achievements, there are certain domains in IT, in which Poland can do more. The country, experts say, has not taken full advantage of all the opportunities in the tech sector.

To truly serve as a strategic center of gravity, Poland will now need to develop the broader spectrum of influence and leadership.
