Poles Less Willing to Defend Their Country

According to a recent survey, the number of Poles who would be willing to fight for the country if Poland were to be threatened by war has decreased. Overall, the current results indicate a marked decline in confidence and an increase in uncertainty amongst the Polish population.

Decreased Willingness to Fight for the Country

According to the recent survey, only 43.2% of Poles are currently willing to fight for the country, compared to 49.1% two months earlier. The percentage of people who said they were unsure of their decision to fight has increased substantially since then, with a corresponding rise in the percentage of woes from 6.1% in September to 13.6%.

Differences Between Men and Women

There are dramatic differences between men and women in terms of the willingness to fight. About 56% of men indicated they would fight for Poland compared to 22% of women. There are also increases in the percentage of women who indicated they were not willing to fight, from 61% who now indicate "no".

Young Adults Display Lowest Readiness

Although young adults aged 18-29 years old are still the least willing to fight, the percentage of young adults who reported definitely being willing to fight for Poland increased from 0% in September to 19%. A very small increase, but a significant change.
