Cincinnati Title is set to boost World Rankings
The 24-year-old Pole secured her first Cincinnati title with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Jasmine Paolini. Her win saw her return to the world No. 2. Świątek dominated the entire tournament, failing to drop a set and converting all six break points in the final. The victory also represented her 11th WTA 100 title and first since the Italian Open last year.

Mixed doubles success in New York
Not long after her singles victory, Świątek boarded a flight to Queens, New York, 1,020 kilometres away, to play the US Open mixed doubles with Norway's Casper Ruud. The duo were impressive from the start, defeating Madison Keys and Frances Tiafoe, 4-1, 4-2. On the same day, they took down Caty McNally and Lorenzo Musetti with the loss of the same scoreline to make the semifinals.

"Yesterday and today, the last two days felt like one long day, but I'm super happy to be here and to be playing with Casper," Świątek said. "Didn't play so much doubles, to practice, but I think I can be pretty good in lateral."

Świątek and Ruud will next meet No. 1 seeds Jessica Pegula of the USA and Great Britain's Jack Draper, who moved through by overcoming Mirra Andreeva and Daniil Medvedev 4-1, 4-1. The semifinals and final are scheduled for Wednesday.
