Authorities in Liverpool have shared new details about the incident that occurred on Monday afternoon. A joint press conference held by police and Liverpool City Council confirmed that the case will not be classified as a terrorist act, although investigations into the motive are ongoing.

Updated figures reveal that 27 people were taken to hospitals across Liverpool following the incident. Among those, two are in serious condition, including one child. Additionally, 20 individuals were treated at the scene and did not require further medical care. This group included four children.

Emergency services responded swiftly, and medical personnel were on-site to manage the situation. A paramedic on a bicycle was also hit during the incident but escaped without serious injury.

Authorities Urge Caution Amid Ongoing Investigation
During the evening press briefing, police reiterated that while the motives are not yet fully understood, there is no indication of a terror-related attack. David Kitchin from the North West Ambulance Service confirmed the current numbers and shared that care and support are being provided to the victims and their families.

Officials are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses as the investigation unfolds. Further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
