Poland Maintains Alerts to Protect Presidential Election

Two of Poland’s national alert levels will not be altered beyond Sunday when the country holds a presidential election, the prime minister of the country has confirmed. This is to defend against hybrid threats that aersion is coming from Russia and Belarus.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned against rising foreign influence on Poland’s election process. He announced on social media that the BRAVO and BRAVO-CRP levels will remain since the hybrid and cyber threats involving Russia and Belarus continue.


Poland’s Four Levels of Alerts and Election Security steps
Poland maintains a four-rated terrorism and cyber threat-readiness system, where in the case of an actual attack the readiness levels are: ALPHA (minimum), BRAVO, CHARLIE, DELTA (maximum). BRAVO level Indicates an increased risk of terrorist attacks and has been in effect nationwide since April 2002. Specific Cyberspace Readiness Procedures (CPR) are established at this level.


Authorities have sounded an alarm about potential interference in the presidential vote, and they have taken steps to diminish vulnerabilities, particularly in the digital cloisters of democracy. The actions are part of the government’s wider push to guard the election process from foreign interference.
