Jagiellonia arrive in Piraeus on the back of an impressive run through the qualifying stages. The Polish club booked its spot in the league phase with a commanding 6-1 aggregate victory over Iberia Tbilisi in the playoff round, a result that showed real quality going forward. That strong showing, though, has earned them a stern opening challenge against an Olympiacos side considered among the tougher opponents in this year's draw.

A New Format, A Demanding Road Ahead
Jagiellonia are one of two Polish representatives in this season's Europa League league phase, joined by fellow top-flight side Lech Poznań. Under the competition's revamped format, every club plays eight matches in total against eight separate opponents, split evenly between four home fixtures and four away.
