64 Crews Set for 81st Rally Poland in Mikołajki

64 crew final entry list for 81st Orlen Rally Poland (13–15 June) published. The round is also the fourth event of the European Rally Championship (ERC). No less than the top five from the first three rounds of the series are on the entry list. There will also be ten top cars from the Polish Rally Championship.

An outstanding 31 Rally2 machines are set to start. Finland's Roope Korhonen (Toyota GR Yaris), the current championship leader, Miko Marczyk (Skoda Fabia RS), Norwegian Mads Oestberg (Citroen C3), Italian Andrea Mabellini as well as Sweden's Isak Reiersen (both in Skoda Fabia RS) will be in fight for victory on the Warmia and Mazury's gravel roads. Latvia's Martins Sesks, Ireland's Jon Armstrong and French driver Stephane Lefebvre will join the pair.

Big Names in Rallying Add to the Field
Among the names on the entry list is that of former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen (Skoda Fabia RS) – he's also the father of four-time F1 champion Max Verstappen. Another household name is 20-year-old Max McRae, nephew of rally icon Colin McRae, at the wheel of a Citroen C3 Rally2.

Miko Marczyk, who triumphed in Mikołajki in 2022, is looking forward to this years' prospects. "I'm a huge fan of our European round. I've good knowledge of the route and home crowd support is in my favour," he said. Marczyk is second in the ERC table with 57 points, with leader Korhonen three ahead on 60. Oestberg is third with 48.

National Champs and Rally Highlights
The CTL Projekt Bieszczady Rally is also the third round of the Polish Rally Championship. Local stars such as RSMP leader Jakub Matulka, Jarosław Szeja, Grzegorz Grzyb, Jakub Brzeziński and others will score points. Rally hero Maciej Wisławski will also be back on the rally course and Krzysztof Hołowczyc will drive in his 30th Rally Poland event.

The rally route is more than 190km, which is made up of 14 gravel special stages. The season kicks off on June 13 with a shakedown in Baranowo, also the ceremonial start at the Mikołajki town square. The first competitive section, at the Mikołajki Arena, is on Friday. Saturday and Sunday will include 13 additional tests and five service zones, enabling fans to see the rally action up close.

Organisers are urging fans to behave responsibly to prevent disruption in the special stages.
