Russia Strike Kills Three in Kramatorsk

A deadly glide bomb strike conducted by Russian forces targeted the city of Kramatorsk, Ukraine, during Palm Sunday services and resulted in the loss of three lives (including that of a 13-year-old boy) and left thirteen people injured according to local authority reports. The attack illustrates the ongoing threat to Kramatorsk as the city continues to be heavily assaulted near the frontlines of the ongoing conflict.

Attack Details and Casualties
The attack occurred at approximately noon on Palm Sunday and caused extensive (and likely irreparable) damage to multiple high-rise residential buildings. By 6:00 p.m. local time, Vadym Filashkin—a local news reporter—confirmed that there were a total of thirteen people hospitalized (aged 20 to 80 years old). Mr Filashkin was adamant that Russian forces are targeting civilians and described the attack as an act of terrorism perpetrated against innocent civilians, rationalising that those responsible for killing innocent people and for causing destruction and loss of life will be held accountable for their actions.

Strategic Importance and Continuing Threat
The attack occurred during Holy Week, which precedes Easter, one of the most significant Christian holidays of the year. As the priests were officiating their respective services on this Holy Day, the citizens of Kramatorsk (located fewer than 20 km from the front lines) have been routinely subjected to glide bombs and drone strikes.

As such, Kramatorsk is of vital strategic importance to the Russians due to its fortified position and infrastructure, and it represents a critical aspect of Russia's plan to seize control of the remainder of the Donetsk Region currently controlled by Ukraine.

Currently, emergency services personnel are responding to the strike and will provide an assessment of the extent of damage and will confirm the total number of casualties as soon as they are released from the hospital.

Trump Says U.S. Needs No Help to End Iran War

U.S. President Donald Trump made his position unmistakably clear on Tuesday — he does not need Beijing's help to resolve the ongoing war with Iran. Speaking ahead of a high-profile summit in China, Trump brushed aside the idea of enlisting President Xi Jinping to push Tehran toward a peace deal, even as the conflict continues to strangle one of the world's most critical oil routes. "We'll win it one way or the other, peacefully or otherwise," he told reporters with characteristic confidence.

Russia Kills Six in Ukraine After Ceasefire Expires

Any fragile hope of peace evaporated quickly. Just hours after a U.S.-brokered three-day ceasefire expired on Monday, Russian forces launched a wave of attacks across Ukraine, killing at least six people in the Dnipropetrovsk region alone. Ukrainian officials confirmed that Russia sent more than 200 drones overnight, effectively slamming the door on any possibility of extending the truce that had been tied to the anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II.

North Korea Earns $14 Billion Supplying Russia's War Machine

There is a country watching the war in Ukraine very closely — not with fear, but with a calculator. North Korea has been quietly supplying Russia with weapons and soldiers since the conflict escalated, and the money flowing back to Pyongyang has been eye-watering. South Korea's National Intelligence Service puts the total earned over the past three years at somewhere around $14 billion. To put that in perspective, that is roughly half of everything North Korea produces economically in an entire year.
