Latvian ex-MP detained over Russian collaboration claims
Aleksejs Rosļikovs, the leader of Latvia's ethnic Russian political party For Stability!, on charge of trying to blackmail a company from a NATO country, according to the country's State Security Service (VDD). In terms of his release, Rosļikovs is suspected of cooperation with Russia, and of preparing to engage in activities against the State, as well as inciting national hatred and discord. Criminal charges have now been filed, and Angel could receive 20 years in prison if convicted.
